Development projects

• Further development is based on all comforts that "The Danube Port" -Pancevo has: Exceptional connectivity by international railroad, highway and water transportation (this is the most upstream port on the river Danube for reception of river or sea ships with capacity of up to 5,000 tones). There is provided a free space for development of all functions for modern concept of multi-modal center and production. Built up primary infrastructure, existing organization and functionality of back-up services at very high level .Pancevo, with its  exceptional prospect capabilities,  developed agriculture and industry,  tends to become one of the leading economy centers of Serbia. Development directions are aimed  towards completing technology-transport's subsystems, as well as on functional multi-modal transport system units, such as:
  Integral transport's terminal (container, Ro-Ro, Hucke-Pack,...) Subsystem of reloading and storage with emphasis on specialized terminals  Traffic infrastructures for specific kind of transportation Business-information subsystem (making of optical net and one information system) Subsystem of logistic support Accommodation activities Development program realization and especially integral transport's terminal in The Danube Port is based on already mentioned conveniences and current specifications: Proximity of Belgrade and highway between Pancevo and Belgrade Shortest link from south side (getting off highway Nis-Belgrade near Smederevo, via Kovin you avoid city traffic of Belgrade and unwanted effects of road transportation Parking lot for vehicles, built up on overall area of 20,000m² with all supporting contents Directions of development are aimed on production program and based on The Danube Port complex conveniences.
