History
Pancevo is situated at the mouth of river Tamis into the Danube and have had a harbour for a long time.
"City Company for charging and discharging of navigable and railway objects" was established January, 15th 1947. The Law of the usage of a quay was brought in the 1961. Since then, the company has gained the quay to use and manage, and has changed the name into "The Pancevo Company of Quay and Storage".
Due to urban development of the town, the harbour had to be dislocated from river Tamis, to a new location on left bank of Danube in the 1968. The construction started in 1971, and the company has been given the name "The Danube Port" Pancevo.
